Your contact form should be simple and straight forward to ensure your visitors are not put off to contact you. Users are not going to waste their time filling out long forms or forms with fields that they are nervous about submitting info to. Only add fields that are necessary to have. Consider having tick boxes instead of text fields where appropriate.
Ask yourself, what information is useful in providing great customer service. If a field that is usually included in the basic contact form is of no use to you, can it!
Some registration forms are sales barriers, remember keep it simple and easy for your visitor to contact you! The less time a user has to spend filling out your form, and the simpler the questions are, the more likely they will be to break that barrier. A broken barrier may mean a prospect converted to a new customer for your company. |
